Silly Goose was playing with her goose friends when Sly the Fox jumped out, hungry for a fresh goose dinner. All the other geese ran away, but Silly turned around and said, “Good morning, you handsome fox you.” Sly thought to himself, what is this? He replied, “Are you silly? I’m a fox.” Silly said, “Yes, I’m Silly. At least that’s what my friends call me.
Sly thought, big surprise. But he asked, “Why do they call you Silly?” Silly said, “It’s because I’m just silly about fine handsome foxes, and you are the foxiest fine fox I have ever seen. Wow! You are a real looker.” Well, Slys ego kind of kicked in and he began to puff up thinking that goose may be silly but she’s right and she has good taste. Golly! I couldn’t eat a goose that thinks so well of me, it would be like eating another fox, and I’m no cannibal. So Sly introduced himself. He said, “I’m Sly.” And Silly responded, “You sure are, big boy.”
That did it! It was mutual love at first sight. After that Silly and Sly were seen every where together. Sly never ate another goose, but he did appoint himself their protector. You know, it kind of reminds me of an old song “Getting to know you, getting to know you, getting to know all about you.” What a wonderful thing to do………
