Well it’s time for my five year sabbatical from my duties at the University of Chicago. My name is Silas Mahoney and I’m a Professor of Archeology and Egyptology.
This time I will use my sabbatical time to go to Egypt to further study the concept belief that the duplicates of fancy boats as was common on the Nile would somehow magically receive a Pharaoh out of his Esophagus onto the well outfitted and provided with many eatable goodies Spirit Ship modeled after the Royal Ships of the Nile. Then pass through solid stone and fly the Pharaoh to heaven.
This of course was pure Poppy Cock as far as reality goes. What is not Poppy Cock is the fact that even though they were a hundred miles off base there was something they had probably modeled after.
That is what I would seek to determine. So off to Egypt I went. Upon my arrival in Cairo I went to the Egyptian National Museum of Antiquities to seek information that might allow me to make a logical supposition that might support a logical theory.
According to ancient writings at least one Pharaoh allegedly had a ship that actually flew. I thought, oh! That’s a tasty bit of information. Farther examination of ancient records made reference to that particular air ship as being elongated and cylindrical.
I found that interesting inasmuch that of the various configurations in Ancient East Indian records; that was one of the many varied shapes they claimed to have seen. This one was similar. Coincidence, probably, but not necessarily.
Well I continued to browse the old records and by accident stumbled onto some references about gas. It seems they had found a way to mix certain chemicals and natural compounds they had stumbled upon or been told how to do by a higher visiting intelligence, which created a gas similar to helium.
In putting two and two together I concluded there may have possibly been a Pharaoh that flew and thus started the legend that changed over time to a religious sort of distortion of fact. Just like the miss belief that Pharaohs were Gods. Hybrids maybe, but not Gods.
I remembered that the French in the 1800’s had fooled with hot air balloons, then helium in the early 1900’s, well before the German Zeppelins. They were colorful elongated huge gas bags. At least huge to the very small gondola suspended from them.
At 500 feet up to the naked eye from the ground one could have hardly seen the gondola but certainly would have seen the elongated cylindrical gas bag.
Therefore my theoretical supposition will be written in my paper to read. Spirit Ships elongated, gas bags elongated, ergo translated into it must have been a gas bag that one odd Pharaoh flew in, and that all the much distorted from fact Spirit Ship hoopla that followed was based on not understanding what they had really seen. You can draw your own conclusions, these are mine.
